TWO LAKELAND COTTAGES

ELTERWATER is situated at the mouth of the beautiful Langdale Valley, four and a half miles west of Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District. It is a quiet picturesque village on the banks of the Gt. Langdale Beck, with some of Britains finest mountain scenery on the doorstep.

There is an excellent Village shop, post office and pub and a Co-op in the nearby village of Chapel Stile.

Both cottages hold Visit Britain 3 star ratings.

WISTARIA COTTAGE sleeps four in two bedrooms, one room has two 3 ft beds; the other a delightful Victorian iron and brass double bed.

The cottage lies close to the Vilage Green but is set back from the road with extensive southerly views of the wooded fells. With its stone walls and wood beamed ceilings it is of traditional early 18th century architechure. There is parking space for one vehicle in front of the cottage and a National Trust car park nearby.

NUMBER 3 sleeps three in two bedrooms, the larger has two single 3 ft beds which will lock together and the second has one single 3 ft bed. To the rear of the property is a small , south east facing, slate terrace  with extensive views of Loughrigg Fell and Red Bank, an ideal spot to relax.

The cottage lies at the entrance to the village, one of five traditional stone cottages, it was originally built as a farm cottage and is a good example of 18 th century Lakeland architechure. Car parking is by permit which visitors are provided with. There is a space in front of the cottage, and also nearby.

BOTH COTTAGES have been tastefully modernised and tastefully furnished.
